I was born and raised in Athens, and early in my studies I developed a strong interest in implant dentistry and tissue regeneration. After completing my dental degree, I continued my training at the Oral Surgery Department of New York University, gaining hands-on experience in implant surgery, sinus lifts, and guided bone regeneration.
During that time, I also became involved in research on bone-grafting materials and was grateful to receive first price award at the NYU’s Annual Research Day for a project titled “Guided bone regeneration for residual ridge augmentation: clinical, histologic, and histomorphometric study in 82 patients”.
My experience there deepened my interest in biomaterials, which I continue to explore through ongoing collaboration with the NYU Biomaterials Laboratory.
Today, you can find me at ZAB Implant Specialists (Athens/ Paros) and at Hygeia Hospital, Department of Dental Implants and Tissue Regeneration.
To better understand the materials involved in these therapies, I completed a Master’s degree in Applied Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering and am currently a PhD candidate researching implant-related biomaterials and the long-term behavior of implant-supported restorations.
My approach is centered on clarity, comfort, and calm communication. I believe that successful treatment begins with trust, and my goal is to offer patients care that is thoughtful, evidence-based, and adapted to their needs.
